What Scott says

So, don't cling to the first grasp of the realization. often that first taste or that first experience is easy, like it happens rapidly and it's very easy. And then the next one, two, three months is hard because we have to use our intention and our commitment and our focus and our integrity and authenticity to be humble and keep trying again and again, right? This is where the idea of beginner's mind from Shinriya Suzuki.

really plays a major role So, right? So, the idea of like beginner's mind is the best because to a beginner, all things are possible, and to an expert, only one thing is possible, right? And so, having that beginner's mind and not clinging to the realization, right? If we cling to that original realization, then we avoid the whole process of integration and the grieving process, and then we live a false life, right?

We live a hollow life, we live a life of pretending and not being true to ourselves. So, don't cling to the first grasp of the realization. It is not worth it. It is so weak.

It is only the taste, the hue of it. You haven't even gotten to the body of the realization, right? The true realization arises in the integration, in the blood, sweat, and tears, the willingness to re-realize it, to let it go, and find it again over and over and over again in the beautiful dance of life and humanness, and spirit, and joy, and pain, and suffer. And drink good tea.

Tea helps with the integration.
