The lonely path after awakening

but now you're just becoming aware of how lonely you've always been, or you actually are. Having an awakening, a spiritual awakening, especially at a young age, can be very lonely. Rarely does someone have a spiritual awakening and all four of their friends have a spiritual awakening. That almost never happens.

And so what happens is you've literally begun to leave the world that you grew up in and knew as if you're leaving a country that you were born in and you have half of a foot or half of your body into the new world, the new country. And there's not a lot of people straddling both worlds. And so it's hard to relate to them and it's hard for them to relate to you.
