The witness feels like safety
The witness feels like safety?
What Scott says
So, one thing that's born out of the first awakening is the witness position. The witness position often exists in the back of the head, kind of right here, and it feels like everything is okay and you're safe and there's nothing to be done, and you're just kind of watching everything. It feels almost like a detached aloofness if you're sensitive to it. It may feel like the thing you've always wanted or the thing that you've always needed, a sense of safety.
Often, initially, it feels like a sense of safety. Like most pieces of spiritual bypassing or most cul-de-sacs, they often begin as helpful pieces or processes or parts of the path of spiritual awakening. And then if we collapse our awareness around that piece and lose sight of the bigger picture, they then become like a poison or like a detriment or a stuck point or a cul-de-sac.
