The whole path
Keep control so you can surrender
The reason to maintain autonomy is so that we can choose to surrender to something greater than ourself.
What Scott says
The reason to maintain autonomy, right? Is so that we can choose to surrender to something greater than ourself. If you only surrender to something greater than yourself when the intensity is very high, it's not a very sustainable way to live. It's not much of a choice.
And then you're telling the universe that you're only going to be in truth if it makes your life super dramatic and painful or really intense or happy or scary. So it doesn't work very well, right? Right. It's a lot more.
Meaning, when you are good at maintaining autonomy and some level of conscious choice, power, and control, but choose to surrender that to flow or spirit. It means more.. It doesn't mean that much if somebody who can't maintain control at all surrenders control You're like, well, you probably were going to lose it in five seconds anyways, so. You know?
Yeah. Or you did it 50 times in the last two hours randomly because you couldn't maintain it.
