Peak experiences aren't the point

If they just have enough awakening experiences, if they have enough peak experiences, if they have enough experiences of heart opening, then they will be free from suffering and they'll never return to the false self and life will kind of be roses and candy and, you know, no suffering, right?

What Scott says

if they just have enough awakening experiences, if they have enough peak experiences, if they have enough experiences of heart opening, then they will be free from suffering and they'll never return to the false self and life will kind of be roses and candy and you know no suffering, right? And that's just a confusion and a wrong perspective. If that was the case, life would be extremely boring. It is the suffering, it is the contraction, it is the grit, it is the unpredictability of life, the inability to control life that makes it so exciting and alluring and interesting and attractive.

And without that complexity, without that unknown, without that hardship, life would very rapidly become boring and flat.
