Won't your life just become boring and flat and you won't have any joy or motivation? And the simplest answer is no, that's not what happens. If you go halfway and you fight it, like fight the process intensely, then that could happen. But as long as you keep going, you should be okay.

Yes, it is true that if you disempower the false self and continue to break it apart and examine it and see that it is inherently not true or that it is not independently true, is another way to put it. That will, in a way, disempower the false self. But as you get more conscious, you'll see that all you're doing is connecting and seeing the truth, meaning the thing that you're disempowering was never real in the first place. So this idea that you would somehow not feel happy anymore or sad or motivated is not true.

What is true is that how you're motivated will most likely change. Mine did, and it's common, meaning you will no longer be motivated by what other people think or want from you. And you will be motivated by what you think and want. And so that's a good change, not a bad change.

It doesn't mean that you can't be a loving father or a loving partner. In many ways, I would say you're much more, at least I'm much better as a father and a partner after awakening.
