Why you stopped wanting
Because it hurts less to just pretend like we don't want it than to want it.
What Scott says
because it hurts less to just pretend like we don't want it than to want it, So, basically, we learn from early childhood that we don't get what we want. So, that's usually because we don't get the love and attention and support that we needed in early childhood. So, when after a while, then we stop wanting it because it hurts less to just pretend like we don't want it than to want it, ask for it, get rejected, and then not get it. That hurts more than just going, Well, I haven't got it for three years straight, so I think I'm just going to stop wanting it.
So, you then repress your wanting of right? So, you go, I want love, and then you go, No, no, no, you don't deserve it, or you don't get it, or not in this lifetime, or whatever the story is, and you block that wanting. Then you forget that you do that, so that goes unconscious, but that is continuing, and that's what forms the block, right? Then, you know, life events you try to undo it, dating somebody or being a friend, it will work or it won't work, and that will reinforce the blockage, right?
