What Scott says

Have you ever really stopped? What does it mean to fully stop to fully rest in and as the present moment Alright. sit in a comfortable position. I'll ring the bell three times and that will begin the exercise.

Feel the bones in your feet. Feel the bones in your left foot and right foot. your toes. the middle of your feet.

your heels. Feel the bones in your ankles. your left ankle and your right ankle. Feel the bones in your lower legs.

your knees. your upper legs. into your hips. Feel how the upper leg bone ends in a ball.

And then the ball hooks into this hip socket on the left and the right. And then into the pelvis. the bowl. the pelvic bowl.

Feels like a bowl. And then that grows up into the spine and up the spine. the vertebrae stack. into the rib cage.

up into the shoulders and the neck and the outer shoulder and the left and the right shoulder and then down into the upper arms. the elbows. the lower arms. the hands.

the middle of the hands. the thumb. the index finger. the middle finger.

the ring finger. and the pinky finger. Then back up. up the arms.

up the shoulder. into the neck. the back of the neck. up into the back of the head.

where the neck hits the back of the head. up over the skull. up over to the top of the head. around the sides of the skull.

into the forehead. and then into the nose. and the eyes. and the brow.

and under the eyes. and in the temples. and then your ears. and then your jaw and your lips.

and your chin. and the front of your neck. Good. Now imagine that all those bones are like logs that are building like a tower.

You have kind of the base of the tower. It's kind of a triangle. And then it goes up into the middle of the tower. almost like a tree.

And then up into the head. and that's holding the head on the top of the tower. And as you connect with the bones. encourage all of the muscles to just relax and trust the structure.

the bones. to hold up the muscles. to hold up your head. to hold up your body.

that you don't have to do it anymore. You can relax. You can release and stop tensing your muscles. Good.

Stop. Stop. Stop. Have you ever really stopped?

What does it mean to fully stop to fully rest in and as the present moment for all of the conscious and unconscious circular patterns of thinking and habits and fears and worries and anxieties to slowly melt away and gradually diminish until you stop and you fall into the middle of this moment. When you truly stop. you fall into the middle of right where you are. deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper until there is none of you left.

Till all that's left is the boundless space of your soul. What freedom arises in the space when we fully stop. when we enter into the very center of our experience. wherever we are right now.

when we willingly dive to the depths of our wholeness. when we let go of the self. the false lifesaver of our lives. when we fully rest as the space between all objects.

then there is nothing to hold. there is no one to be held. there is nothing lacking. there is nothing needed.

We are simply all of the things. We are simply that which holds everything aloft. Oh. to live this way all days.

every day. Oh. to be the space between the notes of the music. the space between my hand and the cup.

the space that breathes. the space that heals. the space that frees me of myself. Stop and go into the center of the moment.

the center of your being. the center of right now. Don't settle for the superficiality of this world. Go deeper.

deeper. deeper. deeper until you don't know where you are. you don't know who you are.

you don't know anything at all. Go deeper until there's nothing left to go further. This is the way. This is the path to your own wholeness.

This is the doorway to your own liberation. This is the doorway that's always present in every moment of every experience. of every positive moment. of every negative moment.

This is the doorway that's always there. You are the doorway. the doorway dissolves.
