We're not even willing to grieve

What Scott says

So I just, I mentioned this because crying and grieving for me is very, very important, has always been very important, and I can't strongly recommend enough the importance of grieving in the process of psychological healing, but also the process of spiritual evolution. And that it's often undervalued, underspoken of, or completely avoided in spiritual communities. And I think it's unfortunate because we talk about how we're so courageous and that we are so willing to look where no one else looks, but we're not even willing to grieve the losses that we've been through.

We're so scared of our own emotions, our own sadness, our own darkness that we run from it through grasping for more and better and cooler spiritual experiences. And it's just not the way. That is not the way. So I am a big proponent in grieving and crying.

I think it's very healing. And I think it's one of the big issues in society is this villainization and making crying and making grieving a bad thing.
