The grieving sets you free
What Scott says
Because the grieving sets you free. It frees you from all the old identities and the old stories and the old pain and the old losses and the old versions of yourself. I couldn't be who I am today without grieving. And so I started crying.
And then I cried that whole retreat, almost the whole retreat. Well, pretty much the whole retreat, as much as I could cry hours and hours every day, four or five, six hours a day. And then I got off that retreat and then I continued to cry. And I cried probably on average two to three hours a day for about three years.
And yeah, a ton of. So I am a big proponent in grieving and crying. I think it's very healing. And I think it's one of the big issues in society is this villainization and making crying and making grieving a bad thing.
My experience after grieving so much is that it's one of the best things that can happen.
