Relationships are all about control, and giving control to each other.

Because relationships are all about control and giving control to each other. And then trusting that the other person will be gracious or do a good job when you give, let them control you. Right. So healthy romantic relationship is about trading control.
Like some ways my wife controls me, some ways I control her. And when we try to control each other in the same way, we fight. Healthy compatible relationships do a good job trading control and have complementary control structures. And it's usually balanced.
So it's not 50-50, but one, you know, I control what we eat in the house and my wife controls this other things. But, you know, but it balances itself out over time. And then a lot of conflicts come from control. So that's why I just say it's good to know that it's about control.
Because ultimately, it's if we choose to give away our power to someone and they don't do a good job, yes, you will get mad at that person for it. But ultimately like what you did, it's your choice to give away the power and it's your choice to take it back when it's appropriate. Yes. You don't want to give away control and then blanket, you know, for a long time without any sort of analysis.
