We are both human and spirit
What Scott says
We become the context or the alive field that everything is arising and out of and returning to. So, you know, one way to think about the spiritual path is we're humans, we're human, right, visiting spirit or having spiritual experiences, or we're spirit having human experiences, right? You can kind of hear that in social media. And really, what it is, is we're both, we're human and we're spirit, and we're both having human experiences and spiritual experiences at the same time.
And what we actually are is what's birthing the two, right? That's what we truly are. And so to enter into that alive field, right, or the emptiness, the pregnant emptiness, or the ground of your being, or there's lots of different names, pregnant void. We have to find a way to hold both poles of the paradox of life, of being human and spirit at the same time, without contracting or collapsing on either pole, and feeling the tension that arises by holding both poles and being stretched to hold both poles.
And then when we can do that and we kind of relax, what happens is we spontaneously shift off of the context and off of those objects and we become the context or the alive field that everything is arising and out of and returning to.
