Where shame lives in you
So it's maybe one, two, three percent of our whole energetic experience.
What Scott says
So it's maybe one, two, three percent of our whole energetic experience, every time I have a new realization, I'm like, oh my god, this is so nice. Things are so easy. Everything makes sense. Of course, it's like this, right?
And then right after that, you always experience shame because, like, oh, I'm so stupid. How did I not see this before? This is so simple. It's so obvious, right?
Realizations are always very simple and obvious. And so then we always have the mind come in and go, oh, look how stupid I am. Look how bad I am that I didn't realize this. I didn't see this before.
Right? So that's always the first test. So the first test is that shame. And then if we can stay with the shame, right?
Allow it to exist in the body. There's a downward energy, there's a contraction, there's a density, there's a heaviness. You could feel small or like the whole world is bigger than you, or you want to run and hide, right? It's this downward energy moving down the core of your body into the abdomen, often into a pit in your stomach or a hole of emptiness.
Right? So we stay with that, right? We allow that to be there. We don't push.
it away, we don't pull it closer, we don't become fascinated with it and lean in, and we don't get scared and run away But instead, we allow it to be there. We acknowledge that it's real, but that it's only real as an emotion is real, like a small percentage of our experience. That's how real it is. So it's maybe one, two, three percent of our whole energetic experience, right?
Once we allow it to exist, we then can begin the process of integrating that realization and moving through the grieving process.
