All of this begins with the same invitation: turn toward what you have been avoiding. The form it takes is up to you.
This is the center of The Way of Emptiness. Every week, Scott opens a live Zoom session: a dharma talk, a guided meditation, and open inquiry. No membership, no prerequisites, no fee required. You show up. You are welcome.
The Open Group is not a class. It is not a program. It is a gathering, a room where people who are tired of carrying things alone come to practice turning toward rather than away. Week after week. Together.
Some people come once and it changes something. Some people come for years. Both are right.
Membership includes access to weekly group recordings, a growing library of teachings and guided meditations, a private community space for ongoing practice and connection, and periodic members-only sessions with Scott.
This is for the person who has found something real in this work and wants to stay close to it.
This work sits at an intersection that most clinical training does not reach: the place where a client's spiritual experience and their unresolved psychological material are not separate problems but one. Scott offers periodic training cohorts for therapists, counselors, and other healing practitioners who work with clients navigating spiritual emergence, complicated grief, and attachment trauma.
Training covers: inhibited grief and its clinical presentation, somatic approaches to emotional processing, how childhood attachment trauma blocks spiritual integration, and how to hold a therapeutic space that honors both the psychological and the sacred.
Scott sees a small number of individual clients whose work sits at the intersection of psychological healing and spiritual integration. This is not standard therapy. It is a sustained, depth-oriented process that draws on somatic experiencing, Hakomi, contemplative psychotherapy, attachment theory, and direct spiritual pointing.
His individual work is best suited for people who have done significant prior work and are ready for a guide who will not settle for symptom management.
Sessions via Zoom. US clients only for licensed clinical therapy. Spiritual direction available internationally.
